Each journal cover can be different from the one you can see on photos because each piece of leather is unique. The color can be lighter or darker.

Engraving on the dark leather is also dark and depends on the angle of view. Dark leather colors: purple, cognac, dark teal. Also there can be some disagreements in the color of the leather as every piece of leather is unique. It also depends on the monitor setting and device which you use.
